In this course, participants will explore a range of essential excisional breast procedures that are commonly practiced in the medical field. We will delve deeply into various surgical approaches such as biopsy, where a small tissue sample is removed for diagnostic examination; partial mastectomy, involving the removal of the breast tissue; complete mastectomy, a procedure that involves removing the entire breast; and radical mastectomy, a more comprehensive surgery where the entire breast, chest muscles, and all of the lymph nodes under the arm are removed.

Additionally, this course will shine a spotlight on the sentinel node identification process, a crucial procedure that helps in determining the spread of breast cancer. This involves locating the sentinel lymph nodes, the first nodes to which cancer cells are likely to spread from the primary tumor, and examining them for the presence of cancer cells.
